This is really happening...

We are at the airport, actually at our gate. Bags have been checked, we've had a sandwich and we'll be boarding soon. Waymond is getting his last fix of good internet! We'll be coming home with kids...still not feeling real yet! :o)

Amsterdam here we come! I'll try to post one more time then, but after that it won't be until we get back to Amsterdam next week. All prayers would be helpful!! You can check Waymond's Facebook for updates...

Happy Anniversary

Today marks twelve years as a married couple! Here's a lovely shot of what we looked like twelve years ago.

Movie Night

We are about to watch Star Wars II Attack of the Clones for the first time ever. Waymond is very excited and hopes that he's not too disappointed.

Kind of crazy

Today on my lunch I walked over to our neighborhood school, Franklin, and picked up a Kindergarten packet for our oldest. Crazy that our boys aren't home yet and I am about to register one of them for Kindergarten in the fall.

It became a little bit more real today that we are about to be parents...and soon!

We are going

Our tickets are booked and paid for!! We are heading to Ethiopia at the end of next week. We'll be coming back with two kiddos and a suitcase full of coffee! :o)

Finally

Well we booked our tickets to go get our boys! Friday we got an email from the Embassy in Ethiopia saying they were ready for us. Our appointment with them will be either Wednesday or Thursday of the last week of April!

On a side note, it is freaking expense to fly these days! And, I thought paying $3.89 for a gallon of gas was expensive, apparently jet fuel went up too!

Celebrating

We are celebrating our anniversary a weekend early hoping that we'll be flying to Ethiopia soon to pick up our boys! And as long as the government doesn't shut down we should be flying in a couple of weeks! In the meantime here's a few pictures from the day:

A bit of news

We found out on Friday that our paperwork was submitted to the US Embassy in Ethiopia this last Wednesday! We were told that the Embassy usually takes between 2 to 6 days to review our case and then let us know if we are missing documents or give us an interview date! This is kind of our last hurdle to jump to bring our boys home! So hopefully by Thursday we'll get word from the Embassy with the date when we can return to Ethiopia. And, then plane tickets!!
