Oh Captain, My Captain

The boys went to a Super Heros birthday party on Saturday and they brought back masks. Captain America's mask was a perfect fit for Lillie! I was really surprised, but she didn't mind having it on.

Creative kids

I asked the boys to play with Lillie while I cooked dinner. This is what they did.

Time off school

What our boys do when they have time off school...I'll have to up load Isayas'.

More tummy time

We are all trying to help Lillie with her tummy time skills so she'll learn to roll over. I think both boys know the "That's Not My Fairy" book by heart by now!

Tomato hat

How cute is she in her tomato hat? And, the ducks? They both accentuate the cheeks nicely!

Reading partners

As much as this little girl is read to, she might start talking at five months old! 

And probably won't stop talking ~ she's already trying. I love her inflection. 

Our Musician

Ermias likes to listen to the iPod. He got out his guitar and was singing and "playing" to the music. It was very entertaining!

On a side note, can you tell we let our kids pick out their own clothes? Sweet ensemble he has on, huh?

The 18th

It's the 18th, Lillie is four months old! We are much more rested than we have been in months. 

Tummy time

We tried tummy time on the boppy. It was a big hit as long as the kitten book was being read! 

 She spent most of the time kicking her legs instead of strengthening her arms.

Scrub-a-dub-dub

Lillie has been enjoying bath time. She LOVES to look at herself in the mirror.

She is learning to splash with her legs. I finished the bath with water all down the front of me and there was a puddle on the floor.

Cuteness

Jazzercise anyone? Leg warmers are so great!

I would have taken a picture of all of her, but she was eating at the time.

Happy Mother's Day

The boys brought home some amazing things for me from school.

Ermias colored this for me. He wrote Happey BusDay Mom (i.e. Happy Birthday Mom) at the top.

He decorated the envelope beautifully with trees and a heart sun.

He also gave me a peppermint!

Isayas filled out this paper about me. I hope you can read it, because it's AMAZING!

I'm as pretty as a puppy, and am as smart as Waymond!

And, apparently my favorite place to shop is the grocery store (really surprised he didn't say Target).

And, if Isayas could buy me anything in the world, it would be peanut butter!

And, to relax I talk with Lillie!

Amazing kids I have!! I love to get their perspective on things.

Some day when Isayas is grown, I'm going to pull this out and we are going to have another great laugh about it. Maybe I'll have his kids do one for him on Father's Day!!

Isayas made this for me this morning at church. Again, the things he wrote are amazing! He did hit it right on with "My Mom likes to...Rest" and "My Mom's favorite Hobby is to sleep" can you tell we have a four month old!

And, he drew a picture of me (with a dress on).

Isayas gave this to me this morning. His school teacher loves pintrest and is creative!! He told me all about having to pose for the picture without holding anything.

Happy Mother's Day! I hope your day is full of treats like mine has been (Lillie slept an additional two hours this morning and went down for her afternoon nap like a champ ~ happy mother's day indeed!).

Big girl

With the help of lots of blankets, Lillie has joined us for dinner a couple of times this week. She loves it and so do her brothers. They can't wait until she is eating the same food.

Can you tell that she loves them? She watches their every move!

Isayas was helping her gum a favorite toy.

16 weeks today

Can you believe it, Lillie is 16 weeks old today!! Goes by so fast.

This is a little "lovey blanket" we got from a friend. I thought it would be an awesome hat! I think she agrees; she's smiling behind her fingers. 

She can successfully put her fingers in her mouth upon demand. It's her favorite past time these days, that and trying to get the toy caterpillar in her mouth. Really she is happy to put anything in her mouth; however she is most successful getting her fingers.

Been awhile

It's been awhile since I posted. Lillie and I took a trip to Oklahoma! I'm glad we went, but Lillie REALLY missed the rest of the family because she was not her normal self! And, it's taken her awhile to get back to her normal self, at least sleep wise!

Here we are on our first plane ride together. She did really well on the airplanes. I'm sure everyone on the plane said a prayer when they saw us boarding. She ate, slept and played the entire time.

God was with us for sure, we had Grandmas all around us on both flights to Oklahoma, actually on all our flights.

Here she is surrounded by her animals. There were a few smiles.

But, mostly there was a lot of this!

My favorite picture of the entire trip! Lillian is named after her great grandma. I wanted to get some pictures of the two of them.
