From the week

Here are a few cute ones from this week:
She found a hat she wore when she was a baby. She wore the hat all day!
She's loving Bubba's old sunglasses! She found an old yellow pair she wears too.
She realized that the S on her shirt was the same as on Ermias' hat, so she got it down and wore it until we left to get the boys from school.
Then, of course, she had to try on Isayas' hat too! The girl loves to accessorize!

20 months & so fun!

The only pictures I got of Lillie today was very blurry. She doesn't sit still for long and I was hurrying to get a picture of her playing the guitar. When she realized I had the iPad out she quickly got down and wanted to watch videos of her brothers! She misses them during the day.

20 months old today; this girl continues to amaze us! This morning we were leaving a ladies gathering and Lillie was saying, "You! You!" in the backseat. I turned around to look behind me to pull out of my parking space and realized that she was saying "U! U!" and pointing to the letter U! Since we've never had a 20 month old before we aren't really sure what they are suppose to know, but this girl is super interested in the alphabet! She already knows six capital letters by sight (and I don't do flashcards people, she loves Chicka Chicka Boom Boom). And, she knows at least four colors really well. I guess I'm going to have to up my game and challenge her.
Currently, her favorite word is "No" which she says very cutely. She draws it out "Noooo" and usually cocks her head to one side and wrinkles her nose. I should get a video because I'm sure she'll want to see that someday!

Our summer experiment

This summer I had the boys do several science experiments. This one they wore a sock on the outside of their shoe, walked around outside for awhile and then we watered the sock and put them in zip locks. Isayas' grew the most stuff. Waymond told them that this is why we shower often! Nobody wants grass growing all over them!

Spaghetti

Spaghetti is one of Lillie's favorite things. Too bad she only gets about 50% in her mouth!

Did you just say that?

As I've said before, Lillie likes stickers. She hasn't learned the word "sticker" yet so she gets creative with how she communicates it to me. The other day she was happily coloring away and she totally said "basketball" and pointed over to the stickers. It took me a moment to actually realize that she was asking for the basketball stickers! I honesty couldn't believe it, so I had to get it on video in case she didn't do it again! Her daddy would want to hear it!

Also, as you can tell from the video, I think she's going to be a lefty. She is officially using her left hand for most things. She'll pick crayons up with her right hand and put them in her left.

Almond Butter

We tried Almond Butter this week; so far no allergies! And she loves it.
Lillie's is at the age where she could have a bath after every meal. Even if I am feeding her she manages to get it in her hair, ears, shirt and pants.

What Lil does

Maybe Lillie will be an interior designer. She likes to move stuff around. She spends a lot of time moving magnets from the dishwasher to the refrigerator, to the front door and back again. Also, her attention to detail is amazing! :o)

Enjoy!

First Day back

Here are the boys on their way to school this morning!

After we dropped off the boys, Lillie & I went to the park to play. She had a good day, but asked about her brothers often. We drew with sidewalk chalk at the park and Lillie was coated!
The boys both had a great day. We went for frozen yogurt after school. I asked them both what they thought their favorite part of school is going to be this year. Isayas said, computers. He said they are going to do more tech stuff this year. Ermias thought for awhile and said, "Math." He didn't follow up with why.
On the way home Lillie kept waving at her brothers in the back of the van and saying "bye". Ermias said, "Lillie we aren't going back to school until tomorrow." It was funny!
