Mother's Day

I had a nice, relaxing Mother's Day filled with sweet notes and gifts (and a little yard work).

 Ermias made me this at school along with potting me some flowers.

Isayas wrote me this at school. My favorite part is that I help him make good decisions while he is shopping! Now that he is spending his own money (from chores) it's a bit more important! :o)

Our church does a photo booth every year on Mother's Day. This is what Ermias chose to wear.

 Before we took the picture I made him take off the hat, so both boys were dressed like this. Can't wait to see how our picture turned out! Nothing like basketball pants and a buttoned up flannel (there's a Superman shirt underneath) that says Happy Mother's Day!

New skill

Since Lillie spends time in the kitchen while I'm cooking, she's found a new toy. She found out that the bottom of the oven is a drawer (that is empty). She finds things around the house to drop in it and then pull them all back out again. Just the other day she realized that she could get in. Thankfully she's only been interested in the drawer when I'm not using the oven, but I'm sure she won't be happy when she can't use it freely!

While the boys played baseball

The boys are really enjoying baseball, and thankfully Lillie is enjoying it too. She played in the dirt and rocks during their first game on Saturday. I had to really keep an eye out so she wouldn't eat ALL the dirt!

The boys had their first official baseball game of their lives! They both did so well, actually the whole team did well. Waymond took a video on his phone.

Happy anniversary

Three years ago today we landed at Sea-Tac airport "fresh" off of two 10 hour flights with two sweet little boys who knew very little English. There are some days that it feels like they have been with us all their lives and other days I totally feel like a newbie Mom! What a wild ride we've had these last three years. The fun just doesn't stop!
