Happy Valentines!

The kids made Valentine's for me. Ermias included "Mom's are sick." While I was reading it he said, "It's not sick like *cough sound*, but sick like cool."

Ermias' 9th

Ermias turned 9 yesterday! His dreams came true and the family pulled together and got him an iPod nano and a blue tooth speaker. His life is full and hopefully his Christmas money will stop burning a hole in his pocket!!

Lillie's 3rd BDay (on Monday)

Lillie turned 3 on Monday (I can't even believe it)! She immediately got out of bed and put on our red tiara headband. The boys had the day off (Martin Luther King Jr.) so they slept in and Waymond was already at work. I had her presents waiting on the table.

 I had the boys make her a picture and Isayas drew a minion. He did REALLY well!

 We got her a cardboard house that she can draw on. We had to remind Ermias that it was Lillie's gift and he could only draw on it if she asked him to! :o)

 I found a "happy birthday to me." shirt at Old Nave on clearance after Thanksgiving!

 Her one desire was to go to the zoo for her birthday. Thankfully it was a sunny day. We invited most of her favorite people in Tacoma to come along. All the kids (and Waymond) rode the carousel.

 She got several more gifts in the mail this week. Today she got some Legos and her and Waymond put them together. It clearly is in her DNA because Waymond was just an assistant. She kept saying, "I can do it daddy." And she did.

 Got a beautiful crown!

 She helped decorate her cake. You can't tell, but it's covered in sprinkles. She's a fan of baking and sprinkles!

 She picked where we had dinner that night, Bento teriyaki!

 The girl is a big silly goose and none of us can believe it's been three years!

Swimming lessons

We have all the kids in swimming lessons this month (just on Saturdays). Lillie is finding it bitter sweet. She loves being in the water, but she DOES NOT like to get her face wet. However, she feels like she should wear googles because her bubbas do. These lasted about 2 minutes into the lesson!

New Glasses

Isayas is now wearing glasses, much to his dismay! But, he looks good (and can see better)!

Wishlist time

Since Christmas is right around the corner, the boys are working on their Wishlists! :o)

Lillie misses her brothers during their long school day, but she is filling it with lots of fun things!

Finished sunflower seeds

Our sunflower seeds turned out great! I ended up having to roast them longer than the recipe said, but they are tasty!! Think we might grow some next year. Since the road trip, Ermias has learned to eat sunflower seeds, so he is super pumped!

Good morning

Waymond left for work this morning and then came back into the house to get us. There was a complete rainbow seen from our backyard! It was the brightest one I think I've ever seen. You could even see the violet clearly. These pictures are the best I could do to capture it.

Big Girl Bed!

Lillie is officially in a big girl bed! She is LOVING it. This is her third night and it's been fairly uneventful. However, last night she did fall out of bed and start crying. Waymond went in and she was back to see within 10 minutes. 

Ermias really likes her new bed too!

Sunflower seeds

Long story short, we were given a sunflower today! Lillie and Ermias ate a couple of the seeds raw, but this evening we are going to try and roast them! I'm so excited!! I'll keep you posted!

Isayas has been busy

As most of you know, we took a trip to the ER in the middle of last week. Thankfully Iasyas' skatepark fall didn't result in a broken arm! He did get a splint and it wrapped. Quite an adventure!

 He's also been busy building the Hogwort's Castle. We recently were given a big box of Legos that had pieces to a couple of Harry Potter sets. Isayas found instructions online and has been picking out pieces and putting it altogether. Grandma Connie helped A LOT while she was here. Think her eyes are ready for a break from sorting through Legos!

Wild Blackberries

We picked blackberries on our walk home from the park the other day. 

Then I had to wash Lillie before rest time!

Happy Birthday to me! We had Thai food tonight. Oh so tasty! 

We ordered all my favorites so we could enjoy it at lunch tomorrow!

Then we came home for Cinnamon Rolls!

Oatmeal in the summer

This summer our boys have learned to make oatmeal in the microwave, all is not lost in that brain! Isayas is learning first hand about measurements. He's only had to clean out the microwave once!

At the park

The last few days we've been to the park and Lillie hasn't played much at all, but spent the entire time eating! I'm assuming that when I get her up in the morning she'll be three inches taller!

I would have gotten pictures of the boys too, but they've been riding 

their bikes nonstop while we are at the park!
