Yesterday over breakfast I explained to the boys that they needed to put something green on when they got dressed. We talked about the tradition of pinching someone who is not wearing green on St. Patrick's Day. Well, you would have thought I told them I was giving them a million dollars; a holiday where pinching is involved! They were in!
As we went along with breakfast one of the boys said, "So, whose Patrick?""Is he going to be at church this morning?"
I said, "Who?"
Ermias said, "You know the guy whose birthday we are celebrating."
Right, St. Patrick's Day. I had to be honest, "I have no idea but I don't think it's his birthday."
After about thirty minutes I had to threaten them to stop pinching each other; Ermias had green on his PJs, but Isayas didn't. So, Ermias would pinch him, then Isayas would pinch his brother back. Ermias would then pinch him back twice stating, "I have green on my pants." And the cycle continued through breakfast.
I need to Google Saint Patrick.
