The first day...

Today was a VERY big day for Isayas, the first day of Kindergarten!!

We got to meet his teacher (super nice) and see his classroom Wednesday night (his picture next to the tree). I'm not sure he totally understood what was happening, but he got ice cream so he was happy!

He seemed a bit nervous this morning, but Waymond let the boys watch a little tv (keep their mind off it - really their mind off anything). You can tell in the photo, Ermias doesn't have a care in the world!



















Then it was off to school. He'll take the bus, but for the first two days I wanted to drop him off. When we pulled up to the school he got really nervous, but he was totally fine by the time we got out of the car.














































And, after school all he wanted to do was eat. He literally finished the rest of his lunch (half sandwich, peanuts, almonds & dried fruit, and an entire package of peanut butter crackers). And, I packed him a pretty good sized lunch to make sure he would eat (a little variety). The only thing left in the bag was the apple, which he wanted to eat but dinner would be soon enough.


















All in all a good day. We'll see how he feels in the morning, but he didn't say he doesn't want to go back! That's a good sign.
